First test of 2011 CEV season.

Last Tuesday and Wednesday (5th and 6th of April) we were testing in Jerez. It was our first test of the 2011 season, and the first time that Antonio Gallardo (our new rider) tested the BOTT M210.

Most of the CEV Moto2 teams were also testing in Jerez, and also some of the fastest Moto2 riders in the World Championship, like Marc Marquez or Andrea Ianone. It’s always good to share the track with those guys.

Tuesday the weather was not very good. At first time in the morning it rained a little bit but fortunately it didn’t rain more during the rest of the day. Antonio had a good feeling with the bike from the beginning. During the day we made the tipical clip-ons, levers and footrests adjustments, and Antonio spent the day lapping to get a good understanding of the bike.

On Wednesday we had a sunny day, but also a strong wind. We started working on the bike setup, we made some changes in the bike geometry to allow Antonio to drift the bike in a more easy way when going into the corners. We also tested the new Michelin Moto2 tyres for 2011 season.

At the end of the day we had a good setup and Antonio felt comfortable riding fast with the bike. In general these 2 days were very good for preparing next weekend race. Yes!, next Sunday (17th of April) we have our first race of 2011 CEV season!

We want to say thank you to Pep Pujol for the photos of this post. As always you can see the photos in larger size in our Flickr gallery.
See you in Jerez next week!
