BOTT XR1 “number 2”

This is the latest BOTT XR1 that we have built.

It has the same “number 2” paint scheme that we have used already on other bikes (as the XR1 212 and the XR1R). This paint scheme was designed by Piers SP from Derestricted and it has become a Bottpower classic. 🙂

The bike is very similar to other XR1s, although of course, each one has its own specific details based on customer preferences. In this case, the customer’s donor bike came already with a Torque Hammer silencer.

The customer also wanted to have a front fender (something very logical), and we mounted the carbon fiber one that we normally mount on the XC1 cafe racer.

In this case, the suspensions (fork and shock), rims, and brakes are from the Buell XB12SS that we used as donor bike.
The bike also has our triple clamps, an Easton handlebar, Brembo master cylinder, and a set of Pirelli slicks that the customer asked us to mount on his bike.

  1. The work you are doing is simply incredible. This is the bike that Erik Buell should have built and the kind of bike that could save Harley were it not too afraid to try something new. If the price ever came down to something I could afford, I’d happily ride one of your fine bikes all over Texas!

  2. This bike is so insane! Love it. I have the perfect Buell for the build but my California teachers salary is keeping it at arms length. Let me know if you ever have a cool but less expensive option for the little people. Keep up the awesome work team. Thanks – Jason M.

Thank you, Jason. Riding an XR1, you would be the coolest teacher in California, for sure! 🙂

  3. Gorgeous machine!
I’ve written you before, I would love something similar but using the 1125R/CR engine.
I have a spare 1125 that I bought from a friend, wrecked. THIS is the type of bike that I want, but with the 146+hp that the 1125 offers.

Please consider it for the future, you’d have at least one buyer here in North Carolina, USA

Hello Garrett, I am sorry but we do not have plans for building something around the 1125 engine.
Here in Europe motorbikes must fulfill Euro4 rules and in 2020 we will have Euro5. So it looks like next Bottpower projects won’t have a Buell engine (which only arrives at Euro3). We will work with more modern engines that can fulfill Euro4 and Euro5.
